The opportunity here is good for someone with the skills to communicate effectively, listen, learn and allow customers to lead you through their process. The marketing is ok, can be improved, but most of all, you will not have to be cold calling. Almost all of our customers have 'found' us, versus us 'pushing' them. Anticipate 3-4 leads/wk. Each one will need a demo, proposal and follow up. Your pipeline should be added to by new programs you will launch on your own to make this a full time position, if you wish. Each demo should take 1-2 hrs of preparation, 1-2 hrs proposal writing. Close cycles are long - six months the norm with a couple of wks the least. Customers are typically 80% American, 10% Canadian and 10% other. Industries served are Financial (Banks, Credit Unions and Insurance Companies) 50% and the print industry professionals including Manufacturers, Distributors and Brokers with Fulfillment 3rd party. The average system consists of five concurrent users performing requisition processing, pick, pack, ship, physicals, back order handling, receiving and month end reporting.
