For multi-user FIX to work properly, Netbios must be loaded and available across the network.  This product is supported by MS on Windows.  To ensure that this is loaded and available on Windows XP, check the properties box on the Lan connection.

 

To get at these properties, open the properties of ‘My Network Places’:

Then open the properties of the Lan connection.

Then open the properties of the TCP/IP

 

 

 

 

The Netbios setting of ‘Default’ usually is a good selection, but if this  results in FIX erroring, then select the ‘Enable Netbios over TCP/IP’.

 

All changes like this must be followed by a ‘reboot’ to setup these load modules into the network settings on Windows (that’s all windows/9x/ME/NT/XP/2K).
