P4755 – Requisition Entry Patch

To provide an immediate real time popup dialogue message for low level items discovered during requisition entry.

To install download and execute P4755.exe.  This file may be found at http://www.fixpro.com/_download/p4755.exe .

The password for this file is available by phone, call Ironwood.

Change the second screen option to not install into a temporary file location and install to C:\FIX\Prod or your specific path to the fix database.

Once this installation has started you will also be prompted to ‘Install’ within a ‘ZIM’ window.  Answer this question simply by hitting the Y key and then ENTER.

To complete the installation and activate this feature you will need to use a text editor and edit the file ‘FIX.INI’.  This file is found in your fix database path (ie: C:\FIX\PROD\FIX.INI).  Add a new switch setting to this file for ‘lowlevelpopup=yes’.  Once this entry has been made and saved, then the FIXPro requisition entry software will prompt the user with information on low level items and potential update.

A message showing low level will appear when an item is ‘low level’.  The criteria for low level is a per your last low level report selections.  In addition a window will display with a field to ‘disable this message in future’.  If this field is checked, the item master’s low level date is updated to today’s date.  This is the same function as if the low level update report had been run.
